Description
This job is responsible for planning, managing, promoting and evaluating the overall clinical/administrative operations for the (inpatient/outpatient) Rehabilitation Therapy Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Therapy) function for the St. Joseph Medical Center facility/region in accordance with professional standards of practice, established business objectives and applicable regulatory requirements.
Work includes: 1) ensuring that overall regional goals relating to patient care, productivity, customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, service growth and regulatory compliance are achieved; 2)developing/implementing/monitoring quality improvement initiatives to enhance/streamline current procedures/processes, facilitate quality service delivery and ensure a safe environment of care; 3) spearheading efforts to increase market share for the region; 4)enduring that goals relating to reimbursement are achieved; and 5) managing subordinate supervisors who supervise staff engaged in the delivery of physical/occupational/speech-language therapies. An incumbent is also involved in the preparation/administration of the operating/capital budget, and is responsible for monitoring/controlling expenses and maintaining costs within approved budget parameters.
Qualifications
Education/Work Experience Requirements
1) Graduation from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy, completion of fieldwork, B.S., M.S, or MOT in OT
OR
2) Graduation from an accredited School of Physical Therapy, completion of fieldwork, and Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
OR
3) Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program,
OR
4) Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related discipline
AND a minimum of five years of related work experience in a healthcare environment, including two years in a supervisory or management capacity
